Get Outdoors!

There is no better time than now to appreciate and embrace the wide-open spaces the Midwest and the city of Lincoln have to offer. You might find yourself with more free time than usual this spring. If so, we encourage you to head outdoors.

Did you know there are many health benefits of spending time outdoors? Research has shown that getting outside increases your energy, boosts your immune system, lessens your anxiety, enhances your creativity, restores your focus, and in general makes you a “happier” person.

To help you fully embrace spring and the outdoors, here are some fun activities to do in Lincoln, NE:

1. Go for a walk or run.

2. Ride your bike.

3. Play with your pets.

4. Take a hike.

5. Go birdwatching.

6. Practice photography.

7. Do a workout:

Connecting with the outdoors does a lot more for you than just what meets the eye. Take advantage of the warmer weather and the longer days that spring has to offer. Before you hop on social media again or watch that next episode of whatever show, think about how you can use this time to truly better yourself and help create a positive frame of mind.  We’re all in this together!
