Successful gardening depends on proper soil preparation. Fall is a good time to add organic material, such as compost or manure in your garden or bedding areas. In doing so, the organic material will begin to break down; slowly releasing its nutrients into the soil which will result in the golden answer for that Spring planting…great looking plants and flowers. Other benefits will be that the soil will retain moisture while at the same time having good aeration and drainage capabilities.
